Silent Tide

Sarah Wright is a UK based freelance puppeteer and puppet director, an associate of Kneehigh Theatre, Cornwall (until closed in 2021) and of Little Angel Theatre, London. Sarah is Artistic Director of the Curious School of Puppetry, the UKs first full-time puppetry course for performance.

Sarah works under the company name Silent Tide for independent and personal projects. The first performance titled Silent Tide was created in 2005 in Berlin where Sarah Wright and Bob Rutman began to research visual narratives to the extraordinary music of Rutman’s Steel Cello Ensemble. The show toured DOCK 11 Berlin, PUF Festival Pula, Croatia and the ICA for the London Mime Festival in 2007.

In 2018 the company Silent Tide was created to perform The Adventures of Curious Ganz designed as a Mentor through Performance project. They performed at Little Angel Theatre London winning the OFF West End Award for best performance for audiences 8+ and toured in 2019 including Edinburgh, Tunbridge Wells Festival and La Tartan Teatro Festival Madrid.
